You are born on Thursday, October 24th 2002 at 0.28 am. In all aspects a very special moment.

Wednesday was a boring, rainy day. The moment you're born the clouds moved away and the full moon appeared. The night stayed clear and the following day was a beautiful sunny October day.

But it was also a day showing the world how people deal with each other nowadays. In Moscow armed Chechen rebels threaten to kill hundreds Russian visitors of a musical if Russia will not end the war in Chechnya. In Washington the police still hunts after the sniper who killed ten arbitrary people, leaving the inhabitants of the city in fear. In the Netherlands a twenty-two year old boy died. The boy asked two other boys to show some more respect for an old lady. He had to pay his interference with his life. The two boys did beat him to death. "Moral codes and values", "the society is within yourself", all these slogans are necessary to show people how to deal with each other. Meanwhile, in another part of the world, people die because of famine or diseases like AIDS.

Lola Lucía is a name not many people will understand. But there is unintentionally a story behind this name.

Lola comes from Dolores, meaning mother of grieve. Grieve means suffering, anguish, and sorrow. Lucía comes from Lucilla and means lightness. Every year on December 13th (my day of birth) people in Sweden celebrate the Lucia-feast. Like most of the Swedish festivities this feast celebrates the change of seasons. People sing the Lucia-song, about the return of the light after the darkest days of the year. The name Lucia feast comes from Saint Lucia, who died after torture in 304 in Sicily. According an old legend Lucia appeared in 1200 in Sweden with a ship full with food to help the starving people.
